new sponsors for June
One month after the soft launch of my sponsorship program idea, I’m thrilled to have three lovely sponsors for the month of June. The people behind these businesses are open to trying something new and untested – they all are creative and adventurous. Sponsors have the option of contributing one guest post per month. I am looking forward to getting to know them all a bit better and I hope you will too.
John Met Betty is a cute one-of-a-kind handbag line by Jill Darnell. Jill has been a long-time reader of Final Fashion – she went to George Brown here in Toronto. Circumstances somehow never worked out for us to meet. Now she lives off on the other side on North America so online friendship has continued. Jill has let me know she is planning a post about the more fashionable side of Etsy.
Juma is a cool designer sportswear line for men and women created by a sister and brother team, Alia and Jamil Juma. I share a lot of friends in common with Alia and Jamil though we often meet at events, we’ve never really had the chance to hang out and chat. It is a nice surprise that Juma is sponsoring and I hope they will be sharing a bit about their experiences as designer-entrepreneurs and the projects they work on.
Big love to my returning sponsor, Fashion Crimes. The first month of the program was off to a bit of a slow start and schedules didn’t permit the chance to get a guest post together, but I am having cocktails with the ladies soon to plan something fun for June!
As you can see, sponsorship will be changing the look and feel of Final Fashion a bit – though I for one am thrilled with how the badges look over on the sidebar. I think it is the nicest looking set of sponsors I’ve ever seen, if I do say so myself! I will be editing the guest posts as well to help make sure the tone of the blog is just as consistent as the look. Just to recap: the touchstones for subjects here are: fashion, design, illustration, media and entrepreneurship. The tone I strive for is candid, personal and generous.
For those who are interested in sponsorship – especially to those who have already contacted me with inquiries – please feel free to get in touch! The program will get more refined with experience – but I really encourage you to get into it earlier while things are loose and experimental, it is more exciting that way. July will be the last month where the new sponsor discount will apply – that means for July, sponsorships start as low as $25 CDN. I would love to work with you and learn more about what you do. Email or call me at 416 603 6671 and lets talk.
