safety jock

blog friends,toronto,what I wear — Danielle on March 11, 2007 at 5:16 pm

My new material desire – t-strap Safety Jocks from aerosoles. I’m getting the ones in black. Thank you Anita, my awesome local shopping blogger friend for taking me shoe-shop-hopping to find these shoes.

These were actually the first ones we looked at, of course. I didn’t buy them and we went and looked at a million other shoes that were not as good. When I went back to Heel Boy today my size was all gone…

Thank goodness for the internet. Come to me Safety Jock. So comfortable, looks cute with jeans or dresses, versatile, sticks on my feet, genuine leather sandals without showing toes! I hope I will be wearing these shoes for many summers.

    2. you didn’t get them that day. On no. I could have grabbed you a pair when I was at work. Getting them delivered is good though too.

anytime you want to go shopping, just let me know. it was a lot of fun.

    3. those are pretty cute! my new found shoe obsession and somewhat larger disposable income hasn’t been good for curbing my shoe shopping addiction….

I have a couple of pairs of aerosole shoes… most of them are super comfortable, but I bought a pair of riding style boots and they kill my feet… there isn’t enough support of my high arches.. just letting you know… although I have unusually high arches.

    4. Nadia – can you see me wearing these every day? Hello cute tan lines. Aaaw is right.

Anita – I did put it off for like a week. Oops. I am a slow shopper.

Christy – I find I take the odd splurge too. But I am more selective than I ever was when I was buying cheap stuff. The purchases I make now are more deliberate.
btw – you’ve got a pretty exciting life these days, congratulations.  It’s neat how it is coming together personally and professionally for you – best wishes for your marriage and your career.  Everyone check out Christy’s blog she’s on a roll here –

    5. ah, aerosoles. so gorgeously comfortable.
      and cost nothing.
and make my feet look like those of a geriatric.
      but i love them anyway.

    6. Haha thanks Danielle! I hope everything is going well for you as well… I check you’re blog a few times a week… I also check out your work blog… very interesting stuff… Good work.

Yeah I am very deliberate with my purchases. I really want whatever I spend my hard earned money to be worth my HARD EARNED money. haha.

    7. Danielle, would you consider taking a picture of your feet wearing them once they come in? I want a better guesstimate of where that strap hits. Aerosole doesn’t show them on either. Is it too stupid to ask if they’re a semi safety shoe or is that just the name?

    8. Kathleen – I’m pretty sure it’s just a name. Still, they’re comfy and they stick to your feet, and they sorta cover the toes. So they are certainly a safe-r sandal.

      I promise I will post pics…
