The good people at The Clothing Show offered me 4 sets of free tickets to give away. The Clothing Show is a great big event that is a little bit like a mass sample sale, and a bit like a consumer trade show. Its a lot of fun for people who love clothes. It is also a terrific opportunity to meet a lot of local designers in person, and shop for some unique threads and great deals – especially at the very end of the show ;)

The Clothing Show
May 2, 3 & 4, 2008
Better Living Centre, Exhibition Place, Toronto

Want a free set of two tickets? Leave a comment here – tell me your full name, and make sure you enter a valid email address. Also, please tell me what you’re shopping for, who you plan on taking with you, or if there are any vendors you’re looking forward to checking out. I’ll draw from the comments randomly on April 30 and post the winners here on Final Fashion.

    1. Hi there! I am really excited about shopping at the Clothing Show this year. I’m also bringing my friend Sumayya. I will be hunting for cute summer dresses, belts and some funky jewelery! I can’t wait! I am also particularly looking forward to P0isson, Kitsch Clothing and 69 Vintage.

    3. I would love to go. I’d obviously take my friend Anne who encourages me to get things I feel I cannot pull off. She has great instincts! I’ll probably be looking for accessories -my summer outfits are somewhat boring and lacking in interest.

    4. I will definitely take my friend Mare, check out all the vendors and hopefully come back with lots of stuff without breaking the bank after tax season! Ay carumba!

My goal is to definitely rebuild my wardrobe. I’ve been in basic tees, jeans and jersey dresses for the past year! I think clothing shows like this is definitely something that will help me pick something out that doesn’t have to come from the mall.

      Good luck to all.

    5. I’ve always wanted to go to the clothing show but work and school schedule haven’t allowed me to. Now that I’m done school and graduating I can finally go! Yay! I’m taking my friend Jennifer and I’m hoping to find unique pieces that I can show to my friends in Jakarta when I go home in June. Good luck, ladies!

    6. Thanks for entering everyone; if you don’t want to post your full name here, you can email it to me – but I need it in order to put your name on the guest list so that is why I asked for it in your submissions. Thanks again!

    8. Hi D,

Nice seeing you at the Elle show!

Please enter me in your contest for free clothing show tickets! I will be going with my trendy sidekick (bro). We usually look for vintage ties, pocket squares, and cufflinks. I love the vintage section and have found some great peices like velvet blazers in the past.

      take care!

    11. Hi!
I’m super-excited about the clothing show. As per usual I’m going with my friend Emma – we’ve made a tradition out of scouring the vintage section of the show. I’ll be hunting through it for shoes and some jewelry (hoping for a great pin or two). I’m also excited for POisson, Oligarchy, Paper People and especially for finding someone that I’ve never heard of.

    13. Hello!
My sister and I have been going to the clothing show for years. We absolutely love it and never know what kind of deals we’ll find. Some of our favorites are Dagg and Stacey, House of Spy, Hardboiled and Passenger Pigeon. Regardless of what we buy, we love unique clothes and are avid supporters of Canadian design. Cheers!

    14. I would love love love to win two free passes to the clothing show so that my best friend and I can shop to our heart’s out and help support Canadian designers and retailers. I am interested in seeing the spring lines by Dagg and Stacey and Greenbaum clothing to shop for lively dresses and breezy shirts. I’m also interested in picking up a necklace for my Mom for Mother’s day. My best friend is looking for cotton t-shirts with cool silk screened prints on them and a summer fedora. Please help us to get to the clothing show. Thanks!

    17. I would love to go with my neice – neither of us have ever attended this event before and it would be a first for both of us. She lives in a small town and it would be an exciting adventure for her and for both of us to get out there to support our Canadian designers! We’re both interested in updating our wardrobes with unique pieces; we do have a penchant for vintage. We’d like to shop til we drop and have a lot of fun doing it!
