• Norma Kamali is the most innovative designer in the USA today.  Everyone sees that the system is broken but Kamali is one of the very few who is willing to create her own system.  I haven’t event seen the clothes yet but in my opinion this is already the most interesting thing happening this season. I will be watching this collection closely.
• Doe Deere takes us all along on her journey to Russia, resulting in some of the most brilliant blog posts I’ve seen all year.  She shares her images and thoughts about Moscow and Russian culture, and even a video of an escapade re-exploring a childhood haunt.
• Another bid to save Fashion via video: Fashion’s Night Out reveals a celebrity-filled ad video encouraging New Yorkers to shop… its obviously inspired by the Don’t Vote video from last year but using the idea in the service of fashion isn’t new… fashion bloggers did it first.  And then, the establishment did it better, eh?  Still, do these videos work magic on fashion the way they did for democracy?
• Annching at Fashion 2.0 ponders the state of Vancouver’s fashion industry.

Toronto-centric stuff…

• LG Fashion Week’s schedule is now live… looking forward to seeing a few invitations. The other news is they switched up the venue.
• Pat McDonagh is one of the last shows on closing night.  If you’d like to win a pass to see her SS10 collection, you can name a dress for a chance.
